This 18k gold jump ring is a small connector piece designed to let you add a pendant, charm, or several charms, onto one of Maviada’s gold ball chains. It’s solid 18k yellow gold rather than gold-plated or gold-filled, so it matches the rest of your fine jewellery both in colour and in how it wears over time.

Jump rings like this one are one of the simplest pieces in the collection, but they solve a real styling problem: many of our pendants and charms, including the Colour Logo Charms and Skopelos charms, are designed to be interchangeable, and a jump ring is what lets you move a charm from one chain to another, or add a second or third charm to a single chain, without needing a jeweller to do it for you.

Because it’s such a small, simple piece, there isn’t much to say about styling that isn’t obvious: thread it onto whichever chain you’re wearing, attach your chosen pendant or charm, and close it. If you’re building a layered necklace with more than one charm, use a separate jump ring for each one so they sit and move independently rather than bunching together on a single ring. The ring opens and closes with a simple twist rather than a clasp, so no tools are needed to add or remove a charm once you’ve bought it.

Like the rest of our jewellery, this jump ring is made in recycled gold where possible. Gold itself is prized in jewellery for being highly malleable and resistant to tarnish, unlike many base metals, which is part of why we work almost exclusively in 18k and 14k gold rather than lower grades or plated alternatives that wear thin over time.
